As a premier year-round destination, the High Sierra is home to historic sites, arts and culture, and a wide range of entertainment. Wonderful cuisine can be savored at countless unique restaurants, and in the morning, the grandeur of California’s High Sierra unfolds before your eyes. It’s not a bad way to start the day.

It`s hard for #Yosemite to NOT be beautiful. But #fall does have its perks...

Not a bad view if this was your porch! Fall colors galore and a waterfall to top it all off. We know how to do #autumn in the High Sierra.

Things are starting to come along nicely this fall in the High Sierra.

What distinguishes Bridgeport`s Twin Lakes from others in the High Sierra? The views you get from the water! You`ll be surrounded by magnificent peaks, called the Californian Alps by many. It`s a special place where the Sawtooth Ridge and Sierra Crest divide the Twin Lakes Basin from Yosemite National Park. You won`t forget it if you see it.

Some describe the trail as easy and others say moderate. Either way, the payoff is HUGE! Tokopah Falls in Sequoia National Park is a winner, no debate.

When you think of beaches in the High Sierra, they might not all be this quiet and serene. But they can with a bit of creativity. Donner Memorial State Park sits not far from its popular cousin Lake Tahoe, but offers its own vibe and alpine lake experience. #gosomewherenew

When you`re in Sequoia National Park, a hospital visit is in order. Wait, what? 😱 Not that kind of hospital 🏥. We mean Hospital Rock. It`s quite a scenery overload.

This winter was not kind to the road into Cedar Grove for Kings Canyon National Park where you find this beautiful location - Zumwalt Meadows. And even though you won`t see it this year, we say put it on your future list of bucket items as it`s definitely worth a trip.

Not too long. Not too high. But just right in the cool-fun factor of experiencing a swinging bridge. It`s none other than the Wawona Swinging Bridge in Yosemite. Enjoy lunch down by the water and watch people traverse the bridge... or get up there and do it yourself.

A quiet hike is sometimes just what you need. And if you`re hanging out in Mariposa, the Stockton Creek Preserve may be just the place for you!

If you`ve hiked near Lake Sabrina, you`ve maybe passed this sign. Have you ever taken the trail and visited George?

Crowley Lake doesn`t need any help in being beautiful... but those clouds sure are amping things up!
